Pick up a copy of the September issue of Thunder Roads Magazine and on the cover is a beautiful black Harley-Davidson Road King custom trike. It is owned by Elba attorney Mike Jared. Mike is an avid rider and Harley enthusiast but after an accident necessitated back surgey he was advised to park the Harley. Parking the Harley was not an option, so Mike contacted us to see about triking his Road King. He had done his homework and knew he wanted a Motor Trike conversion. He said he had looked at every brand of trike out there, talked to a lot of trike owners and said he felt Motor Trike had the best looking, best handling and best built trike available. Who can argue with a lawyer? They do their research. If he had any doubts at all it was whether or not we could satisfy his very high standards, especially considering that we were several thousand dollars under everyone else`s bid to trike his Harley. Money wasnt an issue but a quality job was. We assured him his bike would not leave our shop unless it was as near perfect as possible. We struck a deal to do his conversion, paint and pinstriping and add an onboard air-ride compressor and trailer hitch. We also remounted his tourpac and utilized his Screaming Eagle exhaust system on the trike. The trike you see on the cover is the result.

Mike`s Harley has every bell and whistle you can imagine including satellite radio, GPS, a low profile tourpac and front fairing and more, yet manages to look very clean and uncluttered. He wanted his trike to look as sharp as his bike did and we think it looks even better. It draws a crowd where ever he goes and Mike says he is completely impressed with the way his new trike looks, rides and handles. He now plans to spend more time riding with his wife and sixteen year old son son and less time lawyering.

Mike`s trike and others we have built will be on display at the Thunder Beach Rally, Sept. 21-24 along with about a dozen more trikes that we will have there for sale.
